Yellow zinc plating over ASTM A36 structural steel is a plated indoor finish. It's fine for conditioned equipment rooms, data centers and telecom spaces, which is where floor runway support normally lives. For exterior or wet/corrosive areas, specify a hot dip galvanized or stainless support instead.

The order covers the runway support bracket itself. Floor anchors and the hardware tying the runway stringer to the bracket are ordered separately to suit your slab or floor type, so plan those into the material list.

A floor support like the SB2261202YZ carries the runway from below, which is the approach when you're routing over equipment rows, can't reach usable structure overhead, or the slab above isn't available for anchoring. If you do have structure overhead, threaded rod with runway hangers or wall angle brackets usually costs less in labor. Floor supports also let you break a run into free-standing sections independent of the building shell.

1.6 lb each. Light enough for one person to set and shim a run of them, and it keeps added load on a raised floor panel negligible if you're anchoring through to the slab.
