B-LINE SB2261806YZ – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is this B-Line runway support UL Listed for a data center or telecom room install?
Yes, the Eaton B-Line runway support is UL Listed, which is what most inspectors and facility spec writers want to see on overhead cable runway hardware in a telecom or equipment room.
2) What size is the B-Line SB2261806YZ cable runway support bracket?
The bracket measures 6 inches in height, 18 inches in width, and 21.75 inches in length/depth, and it weighs 2.7 lb. Use the 18 inch dimension to confirm it spans the runway width you are hanging, and the 21.75 inch figure to check clearance from the structure you are anchoring to.
3) What is this B-Line SB2261806YZ bracket actually for?
It supports cable runway (ladder rack) off an existing object or structure rather than off threaded rod from the deck. You anchor the support to the structure and the runway rides on the bracket, which is the usual approach when you are running tray along a wall, beam, or equipment frame.
4) Will the yellow zinc finish on this runway support hold up, and can I use it outdoors?
The support is ASTM A36 structural steel with a yellow zinc finish. Yellow zinc is a plated coating intended for dry indoor service, which is where cable runway normally lives. For exterior or damp locations you want hot dip galvanized or stainless hardware instead.
