B-LINE SB2260510YZ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the B-Line SB2260510YZ runway support used with?
The Eaton B-Line SB2260510YZ is a runway support intended for use with the SB-1003-J. That pairing is what determines fit, so if your cable runway hardware is not the SB-1003-J, confirm the mating part before you order this support.
2) Is the B-Line SB2260510YZ runway support UL Listed for a data center or telecom room install?
UL Listed, yes. That is stated for the SB2260510YZ runway support, which is what most spec sections and AHJs want to see on cable runway support hardware in an electrical or telecom equipment room.
3) What are the dimensions and weight of the B-Line SB2260510YZ cable runway support?
It measures 10 in height, 5 in width, and 1 in length/depth, and weighs 2.3 lb. The 10 inch dimension is the one to check against your standoff or drop spacing; the 1 inch depth keeps the bracket profile tight against the wall or structure.
4) What finish is on the yellow zinc B-Line runway support, and is it suitable for outdoor use?
It is steel with a yellow zinc finish. Yellow zinc is a chromate plating meant for dry indoor service, so it belongs in equipment rooms, data centers, and MDF/IDF spaces rather than exposed exterior or wash-down locations. For outdoors you want a hot-dip galvanized or stainless support instead.
5) Does the B-Line SB2260510YZ come with mounting hardware or anchors?
The SB2260510YZ is sold as the runway support itself. Anchors, bolts, and any hardware needed to fasten it to concrete, block, or strut are specified separately based on your substrate, so plan on ordering fasteners with it.
6) How many runway supports do I need along a cable runway run?
Quantity depends on your runway length and the manufacturer's support spacing for the SB-1003-J hardware this support works with, plus your cable fill weight. Each SB2260510YZ support is one point of attachment, so lay out your run, mark the support points, and order one per point plus spares for the terminations.
7) What is the exact part number to order the 10 inch yellow zinc B-Line runway support?
Order Eaton B-Line part number SB2260510YZ. The YZ suffix is the yellow zinc finish and the 10 in the number corresponds to the 10 in height.
