It's a tubular cable runway stringer, model SB17T15CW, used to build cable runway in communication pathways - data centers, telecom rooms, and equipment rooms where cable is carried overhead between racks and walls. The stringer is the side rail of the runway; cross members and mounting hardware are separate items.

15 inches wide. That's the runway width this stringer is sized for, so pair it with 15 inch cross members. If you're running larger bundles or need more fill, you'd step up to a wider runway width instead.

The SB17T15CW is the stringer only. A complete runway needs cross members sized to the 15 inch width, splice kits to join sections end to end, and wall angle, threaded rod or triangular support brackets to hang or mount the run. Grounding and bonding kits are also ordered separately.

The section measures 119 x 119 x 15 inches per the published height, length and width figures, and it weighs 25.2 lb. For a run longer than one section, order multiple stringers and splice them with runway splice kits.

Steel, specifically 1008 steel tube manufactured to ASTM A513, the standard for electric-resistance-welded carbon steel mechanical tubing. Finish is computer white.

It's UL Classified. If your spec calls for runway used as an equipment grounding path, confirm the bonding kit you pair with it, since grounding is made through separate bonding hardware rather than the stringer alone.

Tubular stringers give a closed tube profile rather than an open channel, which is what most spec writers call for in exposed, finished spaces where the runway is visible. Functionally it does the same job - supporting cable bundles overhead in communication pathways - and it takes the same 15 inch cross members for this width. Open channel runway is the choice when you want to drop cable through the stringer web or attach accessories along it.

At 25.2 lb per section it's a one-man lift for weight, but the section is long - 119 inches - so overhead placement onto wall angle or threaded rod hangers is realistically a two-person job on a ladder or lift.
