The B-Line SB17T09CW tubular stringer is a side rail for overhead cable runway, used in communication pathways to carry copper and fiber between racks, cabinets and entrance points. Stringers run the length of the pathway and cross members tie two of them together to form the ladder. You order stringers in pairs for a run, plus the cross members, splice kits and support hardware for the ceiling or rack attachment.

Tubular. The SB17T09CW is a closed tubular section in 1008 steel to ASTM A513, which is the mechanical tubing spec. Tubular stringers give a cleaner finished look in exposed rooms and a smooth face for labeling and bonding lugs; open channel stringers are the alternative when you want to drop hardware into the channel from the side. If your existing runway is channel style, the cross member hole pattern may not match a tubular rail, so match the existing stringer style when extending a run.

No. It is a single stringer rail only, so a complete runway also needs a second stringer, cross members at your chosen spacing, and the splice, wall angle or threaded rod hardware for how you are supporting it. Plan those line items into the same order or the run cannot be assembled.

It is UL Classified. That matters on jobs where the inspector wants runway used as an equipment grounding path or bonded per the telecom bonding scheme, and on institutional specs that call out classified pathway components.

Computer white. Most installed cable runway in data and telecom rooms is either black or computer white, so if the existing pathway is white this matches; if the room is black runway, the mismatch will be obvious on an exposed overhead run.
