The B32A-120GLV is pre-galvanized steel, which is the standard finish for indoor and protected/dry industrial work. Pre-galv coating is applied to the coil before forming, so the cut ends and the welded seam are left bare. For sustained wet exposure, corrosive process areas, or direct weather, specify a hot-dip galvanized or stainless strut instead.

The B32 profile uses the same 1-5/8 in nominal slot opening as standard strut, so conventional strut nuts, spring nuts, and 1-5/8 in channel fittings engage it. The listed width is 1.62 in. Note the section height is 1.37 in, a shallow profile rather than the deeper 1-5/8 in square channel, so deep-throat fittings sized for a full-height channel are the ones to check.

Back-to-back channel is two strut sections welded spine to spine, giving you slots facing out on both sides and far greater beam strength than a single stick. Trapeze hangers spanning long distances, pipe racks, seismic bracing, and free-standing equipment frames are where it earns its keep. If you are just surface-mounting a single run of conduit to a wall, a single-sided channel is the cheaper and lighter choice.

It ships as bare 120 in welded back-to-back channel only. Strut nuts, spring nuts, end caps, post bases, brackets, and threaded rod are all ordered separately, so build those into your takeoff before the crew is on site.

The 120 in stick is cut to length on site for most runs.
