The B-Line N525WOZN spring nut is tapped 5/8"-11, so it accepts 5/8 inch coarse-thread bolts or all-thread rod. If your rod or bolt is 1/2"-13 or 3/8"-16, this is the wrong nut for it.

That is exactly what it is built for. The N525WOZN is a spring channel nut for Eaton B-Line strut channel, and the 5/8"-11 tapping takes 5/8 inch all-thread rod for trapeze and hanger runs. The spring holds the nut in position in the channel while you thread the rod up into it, so you are not fishing for the nut one-handed overhead.

Both grip the same way, by turning into the inturned lips of the strut. The difference is the spring: on a spring nut like the N525WOZN, the coil pushes the serrated face up against the channel lips and holds the nut where you set it before the bolt is tightened. A plain nut has no spring, costs less, and is fine when you can hold it in place by hand, typically at ground level or on short runs. Overhead, in a long channel, or where you are setting many hangers, the spring version is the one you want.

The N525WOZN is steel with an electro-plated zinc finish. That is a standard indoor, dry-location plating: good for mechanical rooms, ceiling spaces, and interior racks. For exterior, rooftop, wash-down, or corrosive service you should be specifying a hot-dip galvanized or stainless channel nut instead, because electroplated zinc is a thin coating and will not hold up long-term to weather.

The N525WOZN is the nut only. You still need the strut channel itself, the 5/8"-11 all-thread rod cut to length, and whatever anchors or beam clamps carry the rod at the structure. Match every threaded component to 5/8"-11 so nothing crosses on site.

It measures .85 in height, .85 in width, and 1.375 in length/depth, at .088 lb each. The 1.375 in dimension is what lets it turn crosswise into standard strut, and the .85 in height is what you need to clear if anything else is sitting inside the channel run.

No certification applies to this spring nut. It is a plain steel channel nut for strut support work. If your specification calls for a listed or certified support component, take that up against the strut system as a whole rather than the individual nut.
