B-LINE BFV143 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the BFV143 corner plate steel or fiberglass?
Steel. Although it is catalogued within Eaton's B-Line strut fiberglass channel and fittings range, the BFV143 plate itself is a steel part. If your run is fiberglass channel chosen specifically for a corrosive or non-conductive environment, a steel fitting changes that equation, so decide the corner hardware material deliberately.
2) What is the B-Line BFV143 four hole flat corner plate used for?
The BFV143 is a flat corner fitting plate with four holes, used to join strut channel at a corner and hold the angle rigid. It bolts flat against the face of the channel on both legs of the joint, so the plate carries the connection rather than the bolts alone. It is part of Eaton's B-Line strut channel and fittings line.
3) Do bolts and channel nuts come with the BFV143 corner plate?
The BFV143 is supplied as the plate only. You will need four strut nuts and bolts sized to your channel to make the connection, and those are ordered separately.
