B-Line Eaton series strut fittings and accessories, 1.62" Height, 18" Length, 1.62" Width, 2.34lbs, Steel, Ladder rung, Electro-plated zinc

It's an 18 inch steel ladder rung from the Eaton B-Line strut fittings and accessories line, part number B411-18ZN. A rung is the cross member that spans between two side rails to build a cable ladder run, so you order them by the span you need between rails. The section measures 1.62 inches in height and 1.62 inches in width, and each rung weighs 2.34 lb.

No. The B411-18ZN carries an electro-plated zinc finish, which is an indoor, dry-location coating. For outdoor runs, rooftops, wash-down areas or corrosive environments you want a hot dip galvanized or stainless rung instead. Electro-plated zinc is the right pick for interior mechanical rooms, data rooms and ceiling spaces.

Order by rung length, not by the finished outside width. The B411-18ZN is 18 inches long, which is the rung itself; once it is attached to the side rails the overall run measures wider by the rail sections on each side. Match the rung length to the ladder width your B-Line side rails are specified for.

The B411-18ZN is the rung by itself, an 18 inch steel section weighing 2.34 lb. Splice plates, hold down clamps, hangers and the side rails are separate line items, so build your bill of material to include the fasteners and support hardware for the run.

Specify B411-18ZN. That is the 18 inch length in the B411 rung profile with the electro-plated zinc finish, so it matches an existing run of the same rung on width, 1.62 by 1.62 inch section, and finish.

Steel, with an electro-plated zinc finish. Keep that in mind on mixed runs: pairing plated steel rungs with aluminum rails puts two dissimilar metals in contact, which is fine indoors and dry but not what you want in a damp space.
