B-Line Eaton series strut fittings and accessories, 9.87" Height, 1.87" Length, 1.62" Width, 1.29lbs, Steel, One hole corner angle, DURA GREEN

It measures 9.87 in height, 1.87 in length/depth and 1.62 in width. That 9.87 in leg is the governing number when you are laying out clearance around a corner joint, so check the space behind the strut before you commit the bracket.

DURA GREEN is Eaton B-Line's coated steel finish, applied over a steel body. It gives more protection than plain or painted steel for interior industrial and mechanical room work. For sustained outdoor or wet exposure, most specifiers move to hot dip galvanized or stainless strut fittings instead.

Order by manufacturer part number B420-978GRN. The GRN suffix is the DURA GREEN finish; the B420 series is the B-Line strut fitting line. There is one configuration, so no handing or length to specify.

The B420-978GRN ships as the steel angle fitting only. Strut nuts, hardware and the strut channel itself are ordered separately, so add the spring nuts and bolts sized to your channel when you place the order.

A one hole corner angle like the B420-978GRN makes a single-bolt-per-leg connection, which is the right choice for alignment and light to moderate load transfer at a corner. If the joint carries significant moment, a gusseted or multi-hole angle spreads the load over more fasteners and resists rotation better. Pick the one hole version where the corner is braced by the rest of the frame.

No certification is applicable to this fitting. It is a mechanical strut angle, not an electrical device, so it is specified on material, finish and load rather than a listing mark.
