Baldwin Estate 5753 Emergency Release Key

The 5753 is the small emergency release key that goes with Baldwin Estate Series privacy trim. When a bedroom or bathroom door is locked from the inside and someone needs in, this key operates the privacy release from the corridor side. It is a replacement part, not a lock, so it does nothing on its own beyond opening privacy sets that use it.

The 5753 is specified for Baldwin's Estate Series trim. Estate is Baldwin's forged brass line and its privacy mechanisms are not the same parts used in the lighter-duty lines, so match the key to an Estate privacy set rather than assuming it crosses. If you are replacing a lost key, identify the series stamped or catalogued on the existing rose first.

Just the key. The 5753 is the emergency release key on its own, four inches of brass with no trim, no rose, and no lock mechanism included. If you need the privacy set itself, order the Estate lever or knob set; this part only replaces the key that operates it.
