1) Does the Bemis 4LET raise the toilet seat, or does it replace the seat?
The 4LET is a lift spacer ring, not a seat. It installs between the bowl and the existing seat and adds 4 inches of height above the rim once the seat is back on. You keep using a seat on top of it, so budget for both parts if the opening needs a new seat as well.
2) Will the Bemis 4LET spacer fit a round front toilet?
No. The 4LET is made for elongated bowls only, measuring 19-1/8 inches long by 14-1/2 inches wide. On a round front bowl it will overhang and the seat above it won't sit right. You need a round-front lift spacer for those fixtures.
3) What bolt spacing does the Bemis 4LET medic-aid ring need on the bowl?
It mounts on the standard 5-1/2 inch bolt spread, which is what nearly every two-hole North American toilet bowl uses. Measure center to center between the two mounting holes at the back of the rim; if you get 5-1/2 inches, the 4LET lines up.
