Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness (standard 1-3/4" or thick door up to 5"), mortise pocket dimensions, and handing requirements.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces for proper backset alignment.
3. Prepare door mortise pocket to accommodate case dimensions of 5-7/8" H x 7/8" D x 4-1/16" W and route faceplate opening for 8" H x 1-1/4" W dimensions.
4. Install lock case in mortise pocket and secure with appropriate fasteners, ensuring armored front self-aligns with door bevel during installation.
5. Configure four position hub toggle for desired operation (always locked, always unlocked, or locked by key) and verify latch reversibility if handing change is required.
