Blackburn AL 2000-4 NEHV AL Tapered Comp Lug, 2000 kcmil

It's built for a single 2000 kcmil conductor. One lug, one cable, terminated by compression, so it won't accept two smaller conductors in place of the 2000 kcmil.

Compression only. The barrel is crimped onto the conductor with a hydraulic tool and the correct die, not tightened with setscrews. If you want to terminate with a wrench instead, you need a mechanical set-screw lug rather than this one.

Four-hole tongue, so it bolts to a NEMA four-hole pad rather than a single stud. Overall the lug measures 12-1/8 inch by 3-1/2 inch wide, so confirm you have that much pad length and clearance inside the enclosure before you commit.

Yes, it's built to ANSI C119.4, the standard covering connectors for aluminum and copper conductors. That's the line inspectors and utility specs usually call out for compression terminations. It's also made in the United States, which matters on Buy American jobs.

The AL 2000-4 NEHV is an aluminum-bodied tapered compression lug. Aluminum-bodied compression lugs of this style are dual-rated by many manufacturers, but this record states aluminum construction for 2000 kcmil and nothing about copper, so treat it as an aluminum-conductor termination. For copper, specify a copper compression lug in the same 2000 kcmil size and four-hole pattern.

No insulation on it at all, the body is bare metal. If the termination needs to be covered, you're adding heat shrink or a separate lug cover as a line item. No bolts, washers, or belleville hardware are indicated either, so plan on supplying pad hardware.

Blackburn model AL 2000-4 NEHV. The AL prefix is the aluminum body, 2000 is the kcmil conductor size, and the -4 is the four-hole tongue. Quote that full string, including the spacing, so you don't get a one- or two-hole version.

Sold each. Terminations come in pairs and sets, so count your cable ends (and any spares for a bad crimp) and order the quantity you need.
