1) Will Brady M21-1000-427 labels fit my BMP21-PLUS printer?
Yes. The M21-1000-427 cartridge runs in the BMP21 Labeler, the BMP21-PLUS Portable Label Printer, and the BMP21 LAB Label Printer. It is an all-in-one cartridge, so the R4300 black ribbon comes loaded with the label stock, and it prints by thermal transfer. No separate ribbon to buy.
2) What wire size does the Brady B-427 self-laminating wrap actually fit?
The B-427 wrap is sized for conductors from 2.70 mm to 5.10 mm in diameter. That covers typical single building-wire and data conductors. On anything fatter than 5.10 mm the clear overlaminate tail will not come all the way around to cover the printed zone, so the text loses its protection and the wrap wants to lift.
3) Is this Brady wire label rated for outdoor and unheated spaces?
Rated for outdoor use, with a service range of -70 C to 70 C (-94 F to 158 F). That covers rooftop conduit runs, unconditioned mechanical rooms, walk-in freezers and cold storage. The vinyl resists humidity, water, oil, chemicals, abrasion and smearing, and it passed ASTM G 155 accelerated weathering.
4) Is the Brady M21-1000-427 label UL recognized and flame-retardant for electrical work?

A plain label is fine on a flat panel face you never touch; on a cable that gets dressed and re-dressed, the exposed print is the first thing to rub off.
6) Will these labels stick to powder coated enclosures and rough surfaces, not just wire?
The adhesive is permanent acrylic, and it bonds to smooth, rough, powder coated and irregular surfaces as well as to cable jacket.
