Bobrick 1002836 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Bobrick B-1002836 stile stiffener used for?
It is a partition hardware repair part, a stile stiffener packet for Bobrick 1080 and 1090 series toilet partitions. The stiffener reinforces the pilaster/stile so the panel stays rigid and plumb, which is what you order when an existing stile has loosened or flexed rather than replacing the whole partition.
2) Will the B-1002836 stiffener fit any brand of toilet partition?
No. It is specific to Bobrick 1080 and 1090 series partitions. Stile and pilaster profiles differ between manufacturers, so if your partitions are another brand, order that maker's stiffener instead of trying to adapt this one.
3) Is B-1002836 a single part or a packet of hardware?
It ships as a packet (Pkt), the Bobrick repair kit for the stile stiffener on 1080/1090 partitions, ordered under model number 1002836.
4) I manage several restrooms with Bobrick partitions. Can I stock one stiffener part for both 1080 and 1090 stalls?
Yes, B-1002836 covers both the 1080 and the 1090 series, so a facility running either or both can standardize on this one repair packet for stile stiffening.
5) Does ordering the B-1002836 stiffener mean I also need a new pilaster or door?
No. It is a repair part for the stile itself, sold as partition hardware. Doors, panels and pilasters are separate items and are not included with the stiffener packet.
