Bobrick 383257 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Bobrick units does the B-383257 lock and key fit?
The B-383257 is the replacement door lock and key set for Bobrick models B-2706, B-3706, B-37063, B-370634 and B-370639. If your unit carries one of those model numbers on the cabinet or door, this is the matching lock. For any other Bobrick model, match the lock to that unit's own parts callout rather than assuming this one carries over.
2) Can I order the B-383257 lock and return it if it turns out to be the wrong part?
No. Bobrick B-383257 is sold as a replacement part and hardware item and is non-refundable, so confirm the host unit's model number first. Pull the model tag off the cabinet and check it against B-2706, B-3706, B-37063, B-370634 or B-370639 before you place the order.
3) Is the Bobrick B-383257 a complete lock and key, or just the cylinder?
It ships as a set, lock plus key. You are replacing the door lock on the washroom accessory unit and you get the key that operates it, so a facility with a lost key can be put back in service without sourcing the two pieces separately.
4) I manage several restrooms with Bobrick dispensers keyed alike. Will this replacement lock work with my existing keys?
Treat it as its own lock and key set. The B-383257 comes with its own key, so a facility running a keyed-alike program across a fleet of Bobrick washroom units should plan on either rekeying the new lock into the system or issuing the supplied key to the route. Order one set per unit you are repairing.
5) Is the Bobrick B-383257 a toilet partition latch or a dispenser cabinet lock?
It is the door lock for a Bobrick washroom accessory unit, not a stall door latch set. If what you actually need is the latch, slide bar or strike on a toilet compartment door, that is separate partition hardware and this lock will not serve that job.
6) Do I need any other parts to install the B-383257 lock?
The set covers the lock and its key only. Any tumbler housing, hinge or cabinet body damage on the host unit gets ordered separately against that unit's model number. For a straight swap where only the lock is bad or the key is lost, this is the single part required.
