Bobrick B-750-506 AirCraft Recessed Dryer Mounting Box

Frame the rough opening 13-3/4 inches wide by 9-1/2 inches high by 3-3/4 inches deep at the spot where the dryer will sit. That depth matters as much as the face dimensions, so on a stud wall check what is behind the finish surface before you cut, and on block or tile plan the opening into the layout rather than chasing it after the fact.

The B-750-506 is the box that makes a recessed AirCraft installation possible. It is the steel enclosure that sets into the framed wall opening and gives the dryer something to mount into. If you are installing an AirCraft dryer surface mounted on the wall face, you do not need it. If the spec calls for the dryer recessed into the wall, the box is a separate line item you order alongside the dryer.

It is the enclosure only. The B-750-506 is the recessed mounting box for AirCraft hand dryers, so the dryer is bought separately and drops into this box. If you are ordering for a new restroom build, expect two lines on the order: the AirCraft dryer and this box.

No. The framed opening for the AirCraft recessed mounting box has to be 3-3/4 inches deep, so a shallower cavity will not take it. On walls that cannot give up that depth, the practical route is a surface mounted AirCraft dryer instead of the recessed arrangement.

The box is 16-gauge steel with a baked enamel finish and is rust resistant, which is what you want in a wet washroom where the surrounding wall takes abuse from carts, mops, and users. Once it is set in the wall it is a structural pocket, not a finish item, so the traffic load lands on the dryer and the wall face rather than the box itself.

One. The AirCraft recessed dryer mounting box is sold as a single model, 750-506, with no finish or size options to choose from. The 16-gauge steel body with baked enamel finish is what ships every time, so the only thing you specify is quantity.
