Bobrick 824-201 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How many soap dispensers can the Bobrick B-824-201 AC adapter kit power?
Up to four. The External AC Multi Adapter Kit ships with four wire assemblies, so one power supply can feed four dispensers off a single AC outlet instead of running batteries in each unit. If you have more than four dispensers on a run of lavatories, you need a second kit.
2) Does the Bobrick B-824-201 kit come with UK, Europe, or Australia plugs?
No. The B-824-201 does not include the interchangeable plugs for the U.K., Europe, or Australia. For those, order the assortment plug kit part No. 824-202 separately and fit the plug that matches your region.
3) How does the power supply connect to the Bobrick dispenser wiring?
The AC to DC switching power supply has a low voltage output cord ending in a barrel connector. That barrel plugs into the mating jack on the Multi Adapter Distributor Box, and the four wire assemblies run from the box out to the dispensers. No hardwiring or splicing is involved.
4) Is the power supply in the Bobrick B-824-201 kit safety listed for commercial washroom use?
The supplied power supply is cULus, CE, and GS listed and double insulated. That covers the North American and European listings most facility and institutional specs ask for on a plug-in washroom power supply.
5) Is the B-824-201 an external adapter or does it mount inside the dispenser?
It is the external version. The B-824-201 is an External AC Multi Adapter Kit, meaning the switching power supply sits outside the dispenser and feeds a distributor box, so you need an accessible AC receptacle near the lavatory run, typically inside the cabinet or chase.
6) Can I return the Bobrick 824-201 adapter kit if I order the wrong part?
Bobrick has a no return policy on parts, and that applies to the 824-201 adapter kit. Confirm the dispenser model you are powering and whether you also need the 824-202 plug assortment before the order goes in.
