18-8 stainless handles general atmospheric corrosion, which covers outdoor electrical enclosures, damp mechanical rooms, and chemical or food-processing equipment. Aggressive chemical exposure is a different story: for that, 316 stainless is the alloy to specify instead. Both 18-8 and 316 are austenitic, so neither is magnetic-hardened or heat treatable the way a plated carbon steel bolt is.

They ship 100 to a jar, and 100 count is the order minimum. The jar packaging is what makes this a service-truck or shop-bin item rather than a bulk box.

The JSBH9 runs 85,000 to 140,000 psi minimum tensile with 45,000 psi minimum yield, and hardness between Rockwell B80 and C32. That is solid for enclosure, strut accessory, and equipment mounting work, but it is below a heat treated Grade 5 or Grade 8 carbon steel bolt. If the connection is structural or highly loaded, spec a graded carbon bolt; stainless here is about corrosion, not maximum strength.

The jar contains bolts only. A 10-32 hex bolt threads into a tapped hole as-is, but for a through-bolted connection you need to add matching 10-32 nuts, and stainless flat and lock washers if you want to keep the whole assembly in the same alloy and avoid dissimilar metal contact.
