The HTB2B is a 1/4-20 thread, 1 inch long, so you get thread along the entire 1 inch for tapped holes, strut channel nuts, and nutted connections where you want engagement anywhere in the grip.
2) How strong is the Metallics 1/4-20 zinc hex tap bolt?
Minimum tensile strength is 60,000 psi, with hardness Rockwell B69 to B100. That is low-carbon grade territory, fine for general electrical mounting, strut, box and bracket work. If your drawing calls out a Grade 5 or Grade 8 bolt, this is not the part.
