Metallics JSBH231D Bolts 1/4-20 X 3/4 Hxbt SS (Jar 100)

The JSBH231D is 316 stainless steel. The molybdenum in 316 gives it greater corrosion resistance than 18-8 and better strength at high temperatures, which is why it gets used on coastal, wash-down, and exterior work where 18-8 would start to tea-stain.

It is 1/4-20, 20 threads per inch, with a measured shank diameter of 0.2450 to 0.2500 inch. Any standard 1/4-20 UNC nut, coupling, or tapped hole will thread onto it. For outdoor or wet locations pair it with a 316 stainless nut and washer so you aren't mixing dissimilar metals at the joint.

Head width across flats measures 0.428 to 0.438 inch, so a 7/16 inch wrench or socket is the fit. That is the standard hex size for a 1/4-20 bolt, so your existing 7/16 driver or nut setter works.

Tensile strength is 100,000 to 150,000 psi minimum with a 65,000 psi minimum yield, and hardness runs Rockwell B95 to C32. That puts it in the range of a medium-strength steel bolt, well above a plain unmarked fastener but below an alloy Grade 8. For high-load structural connections use a rated alloy bolt; use this one where corrosion resistance is the governing concern.

They ship in a jar of 100 pieces, and 100 count is the order minimum, so the jar is the smallest unit. Other sizes and quantities are available by request if 3/4 inch length or this count doesn't suit the job.
