1) What size and thread is the Metallics JSHTB26 hex tap bolt?
It's a 3/8-16 hex tap bolt, 3 inches long, with right hand threads at 16 threads per inch. Tap bolts are threaded the full length, so the whole 3 inches engages a tapped hole or nut rather than leaving an unthreaded shank.
2) Is the JSHTB26 tap bolt stainless, and will it hold up outdoors or in a wet mechanical room?
The bolt is 18-8 stainless steel, which is the austenitic grade normally specified for damp, washdown, and exterior service where plated carbon steel would rust. Metallics lists it for electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning work.
