1) How strong are these bolts? Is 60,000 psi enough for hanging conduit and strut?
Tensile strength is 60,000 psi minimum with a hardness of Rockwell B69 to B100, which is standard low carbon steel grade territory. That is the usual spec for electrical and mechanical support work, hanging strut, conduit clamps, and trapeze hangers. If your drawing calls out a higher grade bolt (for example a structural or high strength specification), this is not the bolt for it.
2) Does the Metallics JHTB54 meet Buy American or ARRA requirements for a government job?
No. The JHTB54 is not Buy American compliant and is not ARRA compliant, with country of origin listed as multiple. If your project carries a domestic sourcing clause, this bolt will not satisfy it.
3) Will a 5/16 wrench socket fit the head on these Metallics tap bolts?
