1) Will a Bridgeport 476-SLT work with liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit?
No. The 476-SLT and 477-SLT are 90 degree connectors for metallic liquid tight conduit. Run nonmetallic liquidtight and you need a fitting rated for that conduit type instead.
2) Can these 90 degree liquid tight connectors be used outdoors or in a washdown area?
Yes. The malleable iron liquid tight connectors are NEMA TYPE 2, 3, 3R, 4 and 12 and meet NEC requirements for wet locations. The seal comes from three things working together: NPT threads at the box, a knockout gasket, and an internal sealing ring on the conduit. Miss the gasket on the enclosure side and you lose the rating.
3) Can a Thomas & Betts 306 Tite-Bite connector be used where a Bridgeport 90 degree liquid tight connector is specified?
No. The Thomas & Betts 306 is a straight Tite-Bite connector for 1 inch flexible metal conduit and is non-insulated, so it is a dry-location FMC fitting with no sealing provision. The Bridgeport 90 degree connectors are built for metallic liquid tight conduit with NPT threads, a knockout gasket and an internal sealing ring, carry a NEMA FB-1 rating, and are UL Listed under file E9391 for wet and hazardous locations. Use the 306 only on FMC in dry interior work; use the Bridgeport fitting where water has to stay out.

Malleable iron with a zinc electro-plate finish is Bridgeport's heaviest-duty option, chosen for strength, rigidity and corrosion resistance where the fitting takes mechanical abuse or sits in a corrosive environment. If the run is light duty and flexibility at the fitting matters more than strength, a nylon multi-position type such as the RACO 4734 SWIVEL-LOK 1 inch Type B liquidtight connector is the other direction, though that is a 1 inch fitting rather than a large trade size.
5) How do you install the Bridgeport 90 degree liquid tight connector?
Slide the compression nut and sealing ring over the conduit, thread the ferrule in, then tighten. The 90 degree body means you land the conduit turning immediately at the enclosure, which is what you want when there is no room to sweep the conduit before the box. The NPT threaded hub takes the knockout gasket on the outside of the enclosure.
6) Is this a straight or angled conduit connector?
Angled. Both the 476-SLT and 477-SLT are fixed 90 degree bodies. If your run comes into the enclosure straight on, you want a straight-body fitting instead, for example a straight type like the Thomas and Betts 306 Tite-Bite, which is a 1 inch FMC fitting rather than a large liquidtight.
