1) Can this Cahaba sink be installed in a laminate or tile countertop?
No. It's an undermount sink, which means it hangs below the counter and the exposed cut edge has to be a finished, waterproof material. That limits it to solid surface tops such as granite, quartz, marble or solid surface. For laminate or a standard tile deck you want a drop-in or topmount sink instead.

It also comes sound dampened with both a sprayed coating and a thick rubber pad, plus an anti-condensation coating on the underside, which is where thin sinks get noisy and sweat onto the cabinet floor.
7) How heavy is this sink and can one person set it?
At 23 pounds the CA221SB23 is a one-person lift, but undermount setting is still a two-person job: someone holds the bowl tight to the underside of the stone while the clips and adhesive are set. Use a support cradle or bracing across the cabinet while the epoxy cures.
