The Cal-Royal CGN09 is a Heavy Duty Grade 1 Institution Lock from the Genesys Series, built to ANSI F92 standards with a deadlocking latchbolt operated by key in lever from either side, with both levers always fixed. Designed for door thicknesses of 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" with a 2-3/4" backset and 1/2" latch throw, this lock meets or exceeds BHMA/ANSI A156.2 Series 4000 Grade 1 requirements and carries a UL/cUL listing up to 3 Hours for fire-rated door applications. Constructed with Cold Rolled Steel housing and Zinc Dichromate finish for rust resistance, precision cast steel retractor, and a 2-1/8" diameter bore, the CGN09 delivers institutional-grade durability for demanding environments.

• Trim & Lever Design: Full length 4-3/4" lever handle with 3-1/2" rose diameter, key removable outside lever for fast re-keying, non-handed levers, concealed mounting screws, and thru-bolted assembly with separate spring cage for each lever.
• Clutch Mechanism: Free turning handle in the lock position without retracting the latch, deterring handle breakage and vandalism.
• Strike & Faceplate: Standard 4-7/8" x 1-1/4" ASA/ANSI strike with curved lip meeting ANSI A115.2 door frame preparation, with 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" latch faceplate for 2-3/4" backset.
