Handing matters here. The PV4001 is ordered as either left hand or right hand, and the two are not interchangeable once the frame and door are prepped. Determine handing from the outside of the door: standing where the door swings away from you, if the hinge or pivot edge is on your left it is left hand, on your right it is right hand. Both handings are offered in either finish.
2) Can I adjust the door height after the PV4001 pivots are installed?
Yes, within limits. The floor/jamb portion of the PV4001 set gives 1/8 inch of vertical height adjustment, which is enough to correct a small sag or dial in the bottom clearance over a threshold without re-prepping anything. If you need more range than that, Calibre's PV-5000 and PV-7000 bottom door pivot portions carry 3/16 inch of vertical adjustment in the bearing instead.
3) Do the Calibre PV4001 pivots include steel reinforcement plates for the door?
No. Steel reinforcement plates for the door portions are supplied with Calibre's PV-5000 and PV-7000 sets, not with the PV4001. On a heavier door or a hollow metal leaf where you want the door portions backed up, plan on the PV-5000 or PV-7000 instead, or reinforce the door yourself.
4) I need a fire rated offset pivot set. Is the Calibre PV4001 the right choice?
If the opening requires a fire label, specify a set that carries the rating.
