Metallics DLC1S – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What part number do I order for Metallics #1 double loop galvanized chain on a 250 foot reel?
Order Metallics DLC1S. That is the manufacturer part number for the #1 double loop galvanized steel chain in the 250 foot reel.
2) Is this chain galvanized for damp or outdoor runs?
Yes, the DLC1S is galvanized steel, so it holds up better than bare steel in damp interiors, parking structures, and covered exterior areas. Double loop chain is a utility chain for hanging and light restraint work, not an overhead lifting or rigging chain.
3) Do I get the full 250 feet in one piece, or cut lengths?
It ships as a single 250 foot reel, so you cut to length on the job. That makes it practical for an electrician hanging multiple fixtures or supports off one reel rather than buying individual drop lengths.
4) Does the DLC1S chain reel come with hooks, S-hooks, or fasteners?
No. The DLC1S is chain only, 250 feet on a reel. Any S-hooks, quick links, eye bolts, or screw hooks needed to terminate the drops are ordered separately.
