Metallics MBC60 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Metallics MBC60 used for?
The MBC60 is a strut-to-beam clamp U-bolt assembly. It joins a run of strut channel to a structural beam clamp, so you can hang strut off existing steel without drilling or welding the beam. Order it by part number MBC60 from Metallics.
2) How many pieces come in a box of Metallics MBC60 clamps?
25 pieces per pack. If you are laying out a trapeze or strut run and need a clamp at every beam crossing, count your attachment points and order in multiples of 25.
3) Is the MBC60 an electrical support fastener or a plumbing hanger part?
Metallics catalogues the MBC60 as an electrical support fastener, the kind used for conduit and cable tray strut supports. The hardware itself is a U-bolt beam clamp assembly, so the same attachment method is used by mechanical trades hanging strut from steel.
