Klein Tools 60155 Cooling Fan for Hard Hat and Safety Helmet

The 60155 fan mounts to the front or back accessory mounts on Klein hard hats and safety helmets, and it fits all Klein hard hats and safety helmets that have those accessory mounts. No straps are involved. If your crew is wearing another brand of shell, or an older Klein shell without accessory mounts, this one has nothing to clip to.

Runtime depends on the speed you use. On high the battery gives about 3.5 hours, on low about 6.5 hours. That is the included Cat. No. 29025 modular rechargeable lithium-ion battery, recharged over the USB-C cable that comes with it. For a full shift on high, plan on a spare 29025 battery, which Klein sells separately.

Battery is in the box. The 60155 ships with the Cat. No. 29025 modular rechargeable battery and the USB-C charging cable, plus both the long and short ducts. The 29025 battery and the Replacement Ducts and Cables Accessory Kit (Cat. No. 60490) are also sold on their own, which is how you add a swap battery or replace a chewed-up duct without buying another fan.

Both, and you pick. The modular duct system gives 16 configurations aimed at the face, the neck, or under the shell, using either the long ducts or the short ducts (both included). Two fans move the air and there are two speed settings, low and high, so a guy in an attic and a guy on a quiet occupied-building job can each set it where they want it.

It adds 0.43 lbs to the shell and measures 6.2 x 3 x 2.8 inches (15.8 x 7.6 x 7.1 cm) overall. The housing is a low profile shape that follows the curve of the shell to cut down on bumps and snags, and the body is PC/ABS/TPE plastic rather than metal.
