1) Will the Corbin Russwin 340L6 mortise strike work with my ML2000 mortise lock?
That is exactly what the 340L6 is cut for: the ML2000 Mortise Lock Series. It takes both the latchbolt and the deadbolt, so it suits ML2000 functions that throw a deadbolt as well as latch-only functions. On the ML2000 the latchbolt throws 3/4 inch (19mm), the auxiliary deadlocking latch has a 9/16 inch effective throw, and the deadbolt throws 1 inch, so the frame prep behind the strike has to be deep enough to take a full 1 inch deadbolt, not just the latch.
2) Is the 340L6 strike handed, and how do I tell which hand I need?
Handing matters here. The 340L6 is ordered left hand or right hand, and the hand follows the door, not the strike: stand outside the opening (the side you key), and if the hinges are on your left it is a left hand door. Order the strike to match the ML2000 lock's hand. The ML2000 latchbolt itself is quick reversible and can be re-handed without opening the lock case, but the strike is not, so get the hand right on the order line.
3) What width does the 340L6 curved lip strike come in, and which one fits my frame?
Two widths: 1-1/4 inch and 1-3/4 inch. The 1-1/4 inch is the standard ANSI mortise strike width and drops into an existing ANSI 4-7/8 inch frame prep.
