The 2B800X is built for 600 through 800 kcmil conductor. That is the whole range it covers, so if your run is 350 or 500 kcmil you need a smaller body in the same two-bolt family rather than this one.

Copper. The 2B800X body is copper, which makes it a copper-to-copper mechanical connector. For aluminum or dual-rated runs, specify an AL9CU-marked mechanical connector instead of this one.

Without spacer means the connector ships as a bare two-bolt body with no spacer bar included. Two-bolt mechanical connectors are often supplied with a spacer so a single smaller conductor can be centered and clamped without distorting the body. With the 2B800X you are clamping full-size 600 to 800 kcmil conductor directly between the halves, so no spacer is needed. It is sold one piece per each.

Outside diameter is 3/4 inch. Check that against the bolt-to-barrier and bolt-to-wall clearance inside your can or gutter before you commit, since a two-bolt body plus the wrench swing is what usually runs tight in a crowded pull box rather than the conductor itself.

It is a mechanical connector, meaning the conductor is clamped by two bolts rather than crimped, so no hydraulic compression tool or die set is required. That makes it the practical choice for field splices and taps on 600 to 800 kcmil copper where you do not want to haul a crimper, and for maintenance work where the joint may need to come apart again. A compression lug is the answer where you need a permanent one-piece termination onto a bus pad.

One piece, sold by the each. A splice needs one connector per joint, so count your joints when you build the order; there is no multi-pack on this part number.

Country of origin is India. If your contract carries a Buy American or domestic-preference clause on electrical material, the 2B800X will not satisfy it and you should source a domestically manufactured mechanical connector for that scope.
