Deltana rates the KH2010 for residential use. For a hotel guest bath, a condo unit, or an apartment turn it's the right class of product. For a public or high-traffic commercial restroom, spec a commercial-grade washroom hook instead, since a residential-rated hook isn't built for that abuse cycle or for the tamper resistance a public restroom needs.

Three: Oil Rubbed Bronze, Brushed Nickel, and a Polished Chrome / PVD Polished Brass option. If you're matching hooks to towel bars and faucets already in the room, oil rubbed bronze pairs with dark traditional trim, brushed nickel with satin nickel fixtures, and the polished option with chrome or bright brass. The PVD polished brass is a deposited finish rather than a lacquer, so it holds up better to daily wipe-downs than a lacquered brass.

A double hook like the KH2010 has two prongs on one mounting point, so it takes a robe and a towel off a single set of anchors. That's the usual pick where wall space is tight, behind a bathroom door or on a narrow strip beside a shower. A single hook is the choice when you want hooks spread along a wall so wet items hang apart and dry, or in a rental unit where you'd rather each hook take one item.

The KH2010 is a wall-mounted brass bath hook, and the wall decides the anchor, not the hook. Into a stud, standard screws do it. Into drywall with no stud behind, use toggle or self-drilling anchors rated well above the loaded weight of a wet robe. Through tile, drill with a carbide or diamond bit at low speed into the anchor behind. Buy anchors to suit your wall; the fasteners that suit tile are not the ones that suit a stud.
