The OK6040B ships with #12 x 1-1/4 inch wood screws. No machine screws are supplied, so if you are hanging into a hollow metal frame rather than wood jamb and wood door, you will need to source machine screws and tap the frame yourself. Into a solid wood jamb the supplied wood screws are what the hinge is set up for.

Not if the pin is your concern. The OK6040B is not a non-removable-pin hinge, so on an out-swing door the pin sits on the outside and can be driven out. For an out-swing exterior opening, use an NRP hinge or add a security stud. Where the door swings in, the pin is protected and this is a non-issue.
