Deltana WBHD12RU15 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will a Deltana WBHD12R bathroom basket hold up in a shower or wet bath environment?
Solid brass through and through, which is why Deltana rates the heavy-duty baskets for shower and bath use. Brass does not rust the way a plated steel wire basket does when it sits in constant spray, so it holds up in a tenant shower or a hotel bath that gets used every day. The finish is either brushed nickel or polished chrome over that brass body.
2) Does the Deltana WBHD12R come with mounting hardware, or do I need to buy anchors separately?
Mounting hardware is packed in the box. Note what that hardware lands in: brass basket this size, loaded with shampoo bottles, wants a stud or a proper hollow-wall anchor rated for the load, not a drywall screw on its own. On tile, plan to drill and anchor through the tile into backer. Nothing else is required to install it beyond the tools.
3) Is the Deltana WBHD12R rated for commercial use, or is it a residential-grade accessory?
Deltana lists the WBHD12R as commercial. For a property manager or a hospitality buyer, that plus the solid brass body is the reason to pick it over a residential wire basket: it takes guest and tenant traffic in a hotel bath, a multi-family unit, or a locker room shower without the plating flaking off.
4) What finishes does the Deltana heavy-duty rectangular bath basket come in, and which matches my existing bath hardware?
Two finishes: brushed nickel and polished chrome. Brushed nickel is the satin, low-shine option that hides water spotting, which is why it is the usual pick when a building is standardizing across a lot of units. Polished chrome is the bright mirror finish and pairs with chrome tub and shower trim. There is no oil-rubbed or brass-tone option in the WBHD12R.
5) Is the Deltana WBHD12R a wall-mounted basket or does it hang over the shower head?
Wall mounted, with hardware supplied for it. That means you commit to a location and drill, so hold it up wet-hand height before you mark the holes. If you cannot drill into the tile, a hanging or tension-pole caddy is the different product you want, not this one.
6) I need baskets for a whole building of bathrooms. Can I order one WBHD12R at a time or is there a case pack?
Sold each, and the price shown is per unit, so you order the exact count you need rather than a case. For a fleet rollout, pick one finish across the job and order per opening.
