1) I need to replace a broken cover on an existing LB conduit body. Do I have to replace the whole fitting?
No. If the body itself is sound, you can replace just the cover. The CV-4 is a flat cover sized for Red Dot Series A and B conduit bodies in the 1-1/4 inch and 1 inch range, so a cracked or stripped cover on an existing LB, LL, LR, C or T body in that size can be swapped without pulling conductors or disturbing the raceway.
2) Will the Red Dot CV-4 fit a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch conduit body?
No. The CV-4 is cut for the 1-1/4 inch and 1 inch Series A and B bodies. Smaller trade sizes use a smaller cover, so ordering by the trade size of the body you are covering is what matters here, not the conduit running into it.
3) Is the Red Dot CV-4 conduit body cover metal or plastic?
Die cast aluminum. That keeps it compatible with aluminum Series A and B conduit bodies and avoids the dissimilar-metal pairing you get putting a steel cover on an aluminum body.
4) Does a gasket come with the Red Dot CV-4 cover?
The CV-4 is supplied as the die cast aluminum cover. Gaskets for Series A and B conduit bodies are sold as separate items, so if your installation is wet or damp location work, order the matching gasket along with the cover.
