The RP-13515 gives you a 15 inch long by 3-1/2 inch wide face of coverage, which is the size range that takes in a mortise pocket plus the cylinder and knob or lever holes above and below it when you run the 15 inch dimension vertically. Measure the widest point of the old prep before ordering: anything more than 3-1/2 inches across the door face stays exposed, and prep that runs longer than 15 inches top to bottom will too. The plate covers one face only, so if both sides of the door were bored you need one for each face.
2) Is a 0.032 gauge Don-Jo remodeler plate a security reinforcement plate?
It is not. 0.032 gauge is cover trim thickness, right around 1/32 of an inch, and the RP-13515 exists to hide old lock prep and dress the face of the door. It adds nothing to how the door stands up to being forced. If the goal is strengthening a door around the lock or repairing a kicked-in edge, you want a heavy gauge wrap around or a latch protector instead.
3) What is the difference between a remodeler plate and a wrap around plate for covering damaged door prep?
