Dormakaba 801259-03-01 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What exactly is the Dormakaba 801259-03-01?
It's an installation hardware kit for Dormakaba commercial mechanical locks, supplied in a 605 Bright Brass finish. The kit carries the mounting and assembly hardware used to complete or service a compatible Dormakaba mechanical lock assembly, so it's ordered as a service or supplemental part rather than as a lock on its own. If you need the lockset itself, this is not it.
2) Will the 801259-03-01 kit fit any Dormakaba lock, or only certain models?
Only compatible Dormakaba mechanical lock assemblies. It is a model-specific function kit, not a universal screw pack, so match it against the lock model or the part number called out in that lock's service documentation before ordering. Genuine Dormakaba components keep the assembly to the manufacturer's own fitment.
3) What finish does the Dormakaba 801259-03-01 hardware kit come in?
One finish only: 605 Bright Brass. If the other trim on the opening is satin chrome, oil-rubbed bronze, or satin brass, the exposed screws and hardware in this kit will not match, so order the kit in the finish code that matches the lock you are servicing.
4) I manage a building with Dormakaba locks on multiple doors. Can I stock this kit as a standard repair part?
Yes, that is the usual reason to buy it. Maintenance teams keep function kits like the 801259-03-01 on the shelf so a lock can be reassembled or repaired without pulling the whole lockset, and the Bright Brass finish keeps the visible hardware consistent across doors already trimmed in 605.
5) Is the 801259-03-01 kit rated for commercial door use or is it a residential part?
Commercial. Dormakaba lists the 801259-03-01 as a commercial-grade part for mechanical lock systems, which is why it turns up in office buildings, schools, healthcare, retail, industrial sites, multi-tenant residential, and government facilities.
