Dormakaba 80126626D01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the DormaKaba 801266-26D-01 inside lever sleeve assembly and what does it do?
It's a replacement mounting assembly for the inside lever on a DormaKaba commercial lock, supplied left hand in a 26D finish designation. You're buying the sleeve hardware that carries and locates the lever on the inside of the door, not a complete lockset. If the lock body and outside trim are fine and only the inside lever mounting is worn or damaged, this is the piece that gets ordered on its own.
2) Does the 801266-26D-01 include the lever, or just the sleeve?
What's ordered under 801266-26D-01 is the inside lever sleeve assembly itself, the mounting hardware for the lever. A lever, a lock chassis, or a cylinder are separate line items. Property managers replacing a broken lever on a fleet of doors usually need both the sleeve assembly and the lever, so check which part actually failed before ordering only this one.
3) What does the 26D in DormaKaba 801266-26D-01 mean for matching the other doors in my building?
26D is the satin chrome finish designation, the standard dull chrome you see on most commercial lever trim. If the rest of the openings on the floor are running satin chrome levers, this sleeve assembly matches. It won't match bright brass or oil rubbed bronze trim.
