1) Does the DynaLock 4522 bracket include the maglock, or do I order that separately?
Separately. The 4522 is a bracket only, a parts and accessories item in the 4000 Series. The magnet itself (a 2022, 3002 or 3121C) is its own order. Budget the bracket as an add-on line when you spec the lock.
2) Will the 4522 angle bracket fit a DynaLock magnet other than the 2022, 3002 or 3121C?
The 4522 is built for the 2022, 3002 and 3121C. If you're mounting a different DynaLock magnet, match the bracket to that model's own accessory series instead. Hole patterns and lengths are model-specific, so a bracket cut for one body will not line up on another.
3) Is the 22 inch angle bracket meant for a single magnet or a double?
The 4522 runs 22 inches, which is a single-magnet length for the 2022, 3002 and 3121C. If you're mounting a double magnet across a pair of doors, you need the longer bracket in the same accessory family, not two of these butted together.
4) Which leg size should I pick for an outswing door where the magnet has to clear the stop?
Take the 1-1/2 x 2 inch profile when you need the most offset; the 2 inch leg gives you the deepest standoff of the three. Where the header is already flat and you only need to true the magnet up, the 1 x 1 inch is enough. The middle option, 1-1/2 x 1-1/2, splits the difference. Measure your clearance from the magnet face to the armature before you choose.
5) Is the DynaLock 4522 bracket rated for commercial openings?
It is a commercial door hardware item, part of DynaLock's electronic access control accessory line. It is not a residential-grade part.
