B-LINE SB315A096TG – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the footprint of the B-Line SB315A096TG auxiliary support column?
Six inches by six inches. That 6 IN width and 6 IN length/depth is what you need to allow for on the floor plan and for the base plate anchor pattern when you lay out cable runway or ladder rack in a telecom room.
2) Is the B-Line SB315A096TG pipe column steel, and what is the finish?
Steel, with a telco gray powder coat. That gray is the standard data-center and central-office color, so it matches typical B-Line cable runway, ladder rack and rack framing in the same finish rather than standing out against it.
3) What is a pipe column like the B-Line SB315A096TG actually used for?
It is an auxiliary support: a floor-mounted vertical post that carries cable runway, ladder rack or overhead framing where a wall or rack cannot pick up the load. You use them at runway ends, at long unsupported spans, and where runway crosses open floor in a telecom or equipment room.
4) Does the B-Line SB315A096TG carry a UL or other listing?
The SB315A096TG is a structural support component, and no agency listing applies to it. If your specification calls for listed or labeled support hardware, that requirement will normally fall on the runway, grounding and bonding components rather than on the column itself.
