B-LINE 4D21SH-120GRN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exact part number do I order for the green 4Dimension strut, and does it come with nuts and bolts?
Order it as Eaton B-Line 4D21SH-120GRN. It is the channel only. Channel nuts, spring nuts, bolts, splice plates, end caps, brackets and pipe clamps are separate line items, so add whatever the hanger detail calls for.
2) Will 1-5/8 inch channel nuts and strut clamps fit this B-Line 4Dimension channel?
Yes. At 2.12 in across the back and 1.06 in deep, the 4D21SH-120GRN uses the standard 1-5/8 in nominal strut slot, so 1-5/8 in spring nuts, channel nuts, conduit straps and beam clamps engage it. Deeper 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 fittings that wrap the full channel body will not seat on this shallower profile.
3) Is this the deep 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 strut or the shallow half-height version?
It is the shallow profile. Height is 1.06 in rather than the 1-5/8 in of full-depth channel, so if the drawing calls for deep 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 strut for a heavier trapeze span, this is not the same section. Use it where the run is short, the load is light, or you are tight to a ceiling or wall face.
