B-LINE 6067 HEE – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size enclosure opening do I need for the Eaton B-Line 6067 HEE CT metering section?
The 6067 HEE current transformer metering section measures 48 in high, 30 in wide, and 12 in deep, so the wall space and any recessed pocket need to clear those dimensions plus your working clearance. It weighs 24.276 lb, light enough for a two-person set on a wall or rack.
2) Will the 6067 HEE work on a 4-wire 3-phase service?
Yes. The Eaton B-Line 6067 HEE is built as a 4 wire current transformer metering section, which is the configuration used for a 3-phase, 4-wire service with a neutral. If your service is 3-wire, this is not the right section.
3) Is the 6067 HEE rated for an 800 amp service?
It is rated 800 A, with a 53 kAIC short circuit rating. Confirm your available fault current at the service point does not exceed 53 kAIC, and that the utility is metering at 800 A or below on that section.
4) Will the utility accept this CT metering section in the western states?
The 6067 HEE is EUSERC Approved, which is the approval most western utilities require on service metering equipment, and it is UL listed. Your serving utility still assigns the specific EUSERC drawing number for the job, so match that to the section before the meter set.
5) Does the 6067 HEE include the current transformers themselves?
No. This is the metering section for use with CT rated enclosures, meaning it is the compartment and hardware that the current transformers and meter mount into. The CTs are normally supplied by the serving utility, and the meter socket or test switch hardware is ordered separately.
6) When do I need a CT metering section instead of a self-contained meter socket?
Self-contained sockets top out around 400 A on most utility rules. Above that, the utility meters through current transformers, and you need a CT cabinet and metering section like this 800 A, 4 wire unit. If your service is 200 or 400 A, a self-contained socket is the simpler and cheaper route.
7) What is the exact part number to order this Eaton B-Line CT metering section?
Order it as Eaton B-Line model 6067 HEE. That is the manufacturer part number for the 800 A, 53 kAIC, 4 wire CT metering section, and it is the number the utility inspector will want to see against the approved drawing.
