AFSBRKT1 is a panel mounting side bracket for Eaton B-Line free-standing enclosures. It mounts to the side of the enclosure interior to carry a back panel or sub-panel, so the panel hangs off the sides rather than the rear wall. It is an accessory only, no panel or enclosure is included.
2) Will the AFSBRKT1 side bracket keep my NEMA 12 enclosure rating intact?
Yes. The AFSBRKT1 is rated NEMA 12 and UL Listed, so it is intended for use in dust-tight, drip-tight indoor industrial enclosures. It installs inside the enclosure and does not penetrate the exterior, so the enclosure's dust and dripping-liquid protection is unaffected.
3) Can I use the AFSBRKT1 panel bracket in an outdoor or washdown enclosure?
No. The bracket is rated to NEMA 12, which covers indoor dust and dripping liquids only. For outdoor rain or hosedown service you need hardware rated for NEMA 3R, 4 or 4X enclosures instead.
