B-Line Eaton series Grip Strut eight diamond plank, 120" Grating length, 18.75" Grating width, Steel, 2" Channel size, Mill-galvanized, Grip Strut, 10

The 82010 Grip Strut plank is OSHA compliant, and the serrated diamond openings give the non-slip footing that walking and working surfaces need. That is the reason it shows up on industrial stairs, platforms and catwalks rather than plain plate.

The plank is steel with a mill-galvanized finish, which is zinc coating applied to the coil before forming. That handles normal outdoor exposure and damp industrial interiors, but the sheared edges and punched diamonds are bare steel and will show surface rust over time. For constant wet, coastal or chemical wash-down service, specify a hot-dip galvanized after fabrication or stainless plank instead.

What ships is the plank itself, one 120 by 18.75 inch eight diamond piece. Hold-down clips, saddle clips, bolts and any end plates or nosings are ordered separately, so size them to the supporting member you are landing on before the crew is on site.

Order Eaton B-Line part 82010 10 GL. That number covers the eight diamond plank in 120 inch length, 18.75 inch width, 2 inch channel, 10 gauge steel, mill-galvanized. If a drawing calls out a different width or gauge, it is a different B-Line number, so match the callout rather than substituting.

Yes, the 10 gauge steel plank cuts with a band saw or abrasive chop saw like any formed steel section. Keep in mind the mill-galvanized coating is on the coil, so any field cut leaves bare steel at the edge that should get a cold galvanizing or zinc-rich touch-up if the run is exposed.
