The Grip Strut five diamond plank is listed as OSHA compliant. It is made for safe, sturdy footing where a non-slip surface is required, which is what puts it on catwalks, mezzanine walkways, stair treads and equipment platforms in industrial plants.

It is aluminum, in 12 gauge material. Aluminum is the usual pick for wet, washdown, coastal or chemical areas where a painted steel plank would rust out, and it keeps the piece light enough for one person to handle a 10 foot length.

The diamond count describes how many rows of pierced, raised diamond openings run across the width of the piece. Five diamond gives an 11.75 inch wide walking surface, which is a walkway or platform width rather than a stair tread width. Narrower diamond counts cover less width and are typically used for treads and single-file runs. All of them share the same non-slip pierced surface.

The plank ships as the grating section only. Hold down clips, saddle washers, bolts or weld attachment are specified separately based on how you are fixing it to your support steel, so add the attachment hardware to the order.

Yes. The 120 inch aluminum plank can be cut to length in the field with standard metal cutting tools, which is common when fitting around equipment or squaring off a platform. Cut ends should land on or be supported by your framing, and the 3 inch channel depth is what carries the span between supports.
