Yes. The five diamond plank is listed as OSHA compliant and is intended for safe, sturdy footing where a non-slip surface is required, which is the usual reason it gets specified for mezzanine walkways, equipment platforms and stair landings.

This plank is aluminum in 12 gauge, so it goes up light and holds up in wet, washdown or coastal locations where a painted steel walkway rusts out. Steel grating is the choice where you need higher load capacity in the same section; aluminum is the choice where corrosion and handling weight drive the job.

Diamond count is how many rows of the pierced, raised diamond openings run across the width of the plank. Five diamonds gives this one an 11.75 inch walking width, wider than the two, three or four diamond versions of the same Grip Strut channel. Use the five diamond where you want fewer pieces to make up a walkway width, and a narrower count where you are decking a tight ladder rung, tread or curb line.

No hardware is included. The plank is the walking surface only, so you need to order hold-down clips, saddle clips or bolts separately to fix the 2.5 inch channel legs down to your stringers or support beams.

Allow 2.5 inches. That is the channel height of the plank, so the top of the walking surface sits 2.5 inches above the top of the supporting steel. Work that into your finished floor elevation before you set the framing.
