B-Line Eaton series Grip Strut four diamond plank, 120" Grating length, 9.5" Grating width, Aluminum, 2.5" Channel size, Grip Strut, .100" Thick

It is a 10 foot plank: 120 inches long by 9.5 inches wide, with a 2.5 inch channel depth. The 2.5 inch channel size is the leg height that gives the plank its stiffness over a span, so allow for that depth when you set your support spacing and check clearances under the walking surface.

The four diamond Grip Strut plank is listed as OSHA compliant. That is the reason it is specified for elevated platforms, mezzanine walkways and access catwalks where a slip resistant working surface is required by code for the facility.

No. Model 42510 10 AL is the aluminum plank only, 120 inches by 9.5 inches with a 2.5 inch channel. Hold down clips, saddle washers or bolts for fastening it to your beams or stringers are ordered separately, so add the attachment hardware to the same order or the crew will be on site with nothing to secure the walkway.

The plank is aluminum, so it handles damp and outdoor exposure without painting or galvanizing, and the four diamond perforated surface drains and sheds water rather than holding it. The pierced diamond openings are what give the non-slip grip underfoot, which is the point of using it on wet platforms, catwalks and stair treads.

Plank is the right choice when you are building up a walkway from individual 9.5 inch wide strips, which lets you follow an irregular layout, work around obstructions and replace a single damaged piece later. A full width grating panel makes more sense for a large open floor area you want covered in fewer pieces. For catwalks, stair landings and equipment access runs, the 120 inch plank in 9.5 inch widths is the usual approach.
