B-LINE BKYH30-094-40K – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What comes in the box with the B-Line BKYH30-094-40K KwikWire hanger kit?
The BKYH30-094-40K ships as a complete assembly with a BKC100 clip included, so you get the wire rope, the Y hook termination and the clip in one kit. Wire length is 40 inches with a 30 inch leg.
2) How long is the wire on the BKYH30-094-40K and how far will it drop from the structure?
The kit uses a 40 inch KwikWire wire rope, and the Y leg measures 30 inches. The 40 inch overall height is the working span, so plan drops up to about 40 inches; for longer drops you need a longer wire length version of the same KwikWire series.
3) Is the B-Line KwikWire BKYH30-094-40K listed for use in commercial electrical installations?
It is cULus Listed, which is what an inspector or a facility spec will look for on a suspension component used for lighting or cable support in commercial and institutional work in both the US and Canada.
4) What is a Y hook termination used for on a wire rope hanger?
A Y termination splits the single wire rope into two legs that spread to two pickup points on the fixture or tray, which keeps a linear fixture or a cable tray level instead of letting it pivot on one point. On the BKYH30-094-40K each leg of the Y is 30 inches. If you only need a single point pickup, a straight single leg hook or loop termination is the simpler choice.
5) Do I need a separate clip to attach the KwikWire BKYH30-094-40K to the structure?
No separate clip purchase is needed. A BKC100 clip ships with the assembly, so the attachment hardware is in the kit. You still supply whatever anchor suits your deck, beam or concrete overhead.
6) How much does one B-Line BKYH30-094-40K hanger assembly weigh?
3.776 lb per assembly. Useful when you are totalling dead load for a run of suspended tray or fixtures, since the hanger weight adds up across every drop point.
7) What is the exact part number and UPC for the 40 inch Y hook KwikWire hanger?
Order it as B-Line (Eaton) BKYH30-094-40K, UPC 782051689464. That is a single configuration: 30 inch Y legs, 40 inch wire, Y hook termination.
